1998 ABANNA Conference Demo - Teaching and Workshops

May 19, 2020 in Conferences, Process, Sculpture

Back in 1998 at the ABANA conference in Asheville, North Carolina, I demonstrated the making of this sculpture.

The demo featured the hot cutting of two pieces of plate, I believe 14"x 5" x 1/2" under a Chambersburg 200 lb. utility hammer. This hammer made hot cutting simple.

Then, shaping and riveting together with a spacer in between.

In the background, you can see another study that came before this one.
