Throwback: Damascus Bowl from Emma Lake Conference

June 17, 2019 in Conferences

Last night I had a conversation with Al Bakke (going on a 21 year friendship) and this bowl came up in our discussion so I just thought I would post it. About 19 years ago, Al (from Saskatoon) and I made this Damascus bowl. It is one of two that we made at Emma Lake conference in upper Saskatchewan. 96 layers. The other bowls on the top were forged from 1/2" x 5" x 20" plate, also made at Emma Lake.
